What do you think about new technologies (the Internet, the computer, the
mobile phone, etc.)? What are their advantages and disadvantages? Have they
really improved communication?
Zhenia: In my opinion new technologies have good and bad sides. they help us to connect with each others everywhere we go. also new technologies do not allow us to get bored because everybody has the smartphone which has mp3 player and a lot of games. But also technologies has a bad side: they causes a lot of illnesses, peoples gonna to be much fatter and they have no time to going to gym because they are addictive, a lot of people can't talk to a live because their speaking skills are not develop. I think that people should use technologies to communicate with people from other countries, but not from your street or district.
I believe that new technologies are user-friendly every day. And today, they are quite popular, as they ease our lives. With them, we can not only talk to people whenever we want it despite the distance separating us, but also get new interesting and helpful information about different things around us, watch any movies we want and listen to any music at convenient time for us. But everything has both advantages and disadvantages. Many of the devices adversely affect health, they can even cause canser and some other bad illnesses. Also socializing virtually, people forget about the live communication, and it can become a really big problem for person's family. Moreover, some teenagers play computer games so many hours a day, that it makes bad influence on them and they can even become dependent on it and then get to a special doctor, that is not extraordinary case nowadays . But in my opinion, new tecnologies can not become unnessesary just because some poeple don't know how to use them reasonably.
It is hard to ask this question, because everybody has devices in your home and gadget in your pocket. But I can damage your life and health. So, there are some for and against using the newest technologies. Let start with advantages. Of course, it is always convenient to use a mobile phone for quick communication with your partner, a friend, a relative. Using the Skype you can make a conference and speak in big groups. And you should to plug on your computer only a webcam! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- But on the other hand it spoils a lot of your spare time. Computer and other “handy” devices full of radiation, moreover it damages your eyes. Furthermore they cost lots of money: 1) Monitor – 100$ 2) Server – 150$ 3) Mobile telephone – 250-300$ 4) TV – 500$; And also there are more and more devices. One of the biggest problems is that computer causes degradation of brain. It is like a kind of a drug: you can’t stop and play more and more and more. And in my opinion it is not a real communication to speak with a webcam;) Viruses and spam are also very horrible problem! And in conclusion I want to say that technologies change the course of history. In our developing world all change so fast that we can’t see all the nuances. There are so many user-friendly gadgets which became for us ordinary things. And only you can make a decision how much to use them.
